I finally got to see our local community services today.
It was great to see the staff who serve our patients in their own
homes. I heard particularly positive things
about the way that the Board members, particularly non-executives engage with
front-line services on a regular basis.
As we progress to recommissioning community services, it
was good to hear the positive attitude front-line staff have towards this
impending future change. During this
period the current services need to be maintained and developed with a continued focus
on quality and continuous improvement.
I look forward to spending more time with our community
services and their staff in the future.
